Ricci Birchfield Appointed as Audi South Africa’s New Head of Marketing

Audi South Africa has named Ricci Birchfield as its new head of marketing, product, and public relations, starting from 1 February 2025.

Who is Ricci Birchfield?

Ricci Birchfield brings over 18 years of experience in the automotive industry, with expertise in marketing, digital strategy, and business transformation. Before this role, he worked at Volkswagen Group Africa as the head of technology and business strategy, where he played a key role in driving digital transformation.

His Previous Roles

Birchfield also served at Audi AG in Germany as the head of digital business market relations, leading global digital initiatives. Additionally, he contributed to Audi South Africa’s brand management and digital transformation, helping to shape its marketing strategies.

“Returning to Audi in this role is special for me. It aligns with my passion and values,” said Birchfield. “Audi is a progressive brand that challenges the status quo, and I am excited to be part of its journey in South Africa.”

With a strong background in digital strategy and business growth, Birchfield aims to enhance the customer experience and strengthen Audi’s presence in the South African market. His leadership is expected to drive innovation and support the brand’s focus on design, performance, and digitalization.
