Primedia Studios Proudly Honors Anele Mdoda’s Last Ranger Oscar Nomination

Last Ranger, co-produced by Anele Mdoda under Rose & Oaks Media, has been nominated for Best Live-Action Short Film at the Academy Awards.

A Team Effort Behind the Success

Directed by Cindy Lee and written by David Lee, the film features standout performances from Avumile Qongqo and Liyabona Mroqoza. Co-producers Frankie Du Toit and Mdoda have been praised for showcasing diverse South African stories.

Anele Mdoda, a prominent media personality and the host of 947’s Anele and the Club expressed her exhilaration on social media, stating, “South Africa!!!! We have been nominated for an Oscar!!!!!!!!!!! The Last Ranger is going to win it and bring it home.” She went on to commend the film’s director, Cindy Lee, and writer, David Lee, for their exceptional work and the standout performances by Avumile Qongqo and Liyabona Mroqoza.
