A typical household in South Africa

Bokomo Weet-Bix has been a popular breakfast for generations. From the time we were young, we were taught the importance of starting the day with breakfast. Our parents would often remind us, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” For many of us, the meal has consistently featured a bowl of Weet-Bix. The tradition continues as we carry forward this morning ritual. Finding comfort in the familiar taste and nutritional benefits of Weet-Bix, whether served with milk and a sprinkle of sugar, Weet-Bix remains a beloved choice that connects us to our past while nourishing our present.

The new flavours

With new Weet-Bix flavors—Strawberry, Cocoa, and Banana—you no longer need to mix in fruits to enhance your breakfast. These delicious options come packed with flavor, making it easier to enjoy a tasty and nutritious meal. Whether you prefer the sweet and tangy taste of Strawberry, the rich indulgence of Cocoa, or the smooth and comforting flavor of Banana, these new Weet-Bix options are designed to cater to your taste buds. Now available on grocery store shelves across South Africa, they offer a convenient and wholesome start to your day.

“We are incredibly excited to introduce our new range of Weet-Bix flavors to South African consumers. These new options not only reflect our commitment to innovation but also our dedication to providing a breakfast high in nutrients and a delicious choice for every member of the family.

We believe the Cocoa, Strawberry, and Banana Weet-Bix will become instant favourites and look forward to seeing how our customers enjoy them in creative and versatile ways,” said Limise Vanda, brand manager: Foods at PepsiCo.

The ‘More Than A Brick’ campaign

Weet-Bix has introduced the “More than a Brick” campaign, highlighting that Weet-Bix offers more than just a quick morning meal. This campaign features a radio personality Mo Flava. Weet-Bix did a TV Commercial offloading huge Weet-Bix boxes to the popular cities of South Africa, including Durban, Cape Town Harbour, and Johannesburg.

Moflava posted on his Instagram page,” You can call me Flavourite…. MoFlavourite

It’s time to find our ‘Flavourite start to the morning, with the new ‘Weet-Bix’ Flavourite. What’s it gonna be, Strawberry, Banana, or Cocoa? You’ll try them All and let me know which brick does the trick.”

What Bokomo Weetbix marketing looks like in the future

To further familiarise South Africans with the new Weet-Bix flavors, the campaign will promote “flavouritism” through engaging social media content. This content features actress Nancy Sekhokoane, known for her role in The Woman King.

These strategic collaboration and creative initiatives show that Weet-Bix is not merely a breakfast cereal, it is a vital component of a nutritious and flavourful lifestyle.
