Events are very important to keep any industry vibrant and the marketing and communications industry is no exception. It is where industry players get together and exchange knowledge and ideas. For the attendees, going to the industry-related events presents an opportunity to learn from some of the best minds in the industry and of course to build meaningful networks.

If you are based in Johanessburg these are the events you must attend. Important to note though is that this list focused on events that are hosted frequently in Johannesburg.

1. Suits & Sneakers

Suits & Sneakers is a “human development” event aimed at every living, breathing human being in South Africa!

Suits & Sneakers was created to disrupt the mundane thinking that comes with the routine of life. 2. Marketing Fridays

Marketing Fridays is all about creating a space for Marketers that is centered around learning and connecting with each other. The events are hosted on the first and/or first Friday of the month and only 20 tickets are sold. The goal is to learn from a renowned Marketer around a burning Marketing topic in order to become better Marketers.

3. Thinkernuer Strategy Breakfast

THINKERNEUR Strategy Breakfast is a platform created to have relevant and robust engagements between marketers, creative agencies, and other key players, through the lens of strategy. Nothing should be done without Strategy.

5. Pat on Brands Dialogues

The Pat onBrands Dialogues were established in 2019 with the aim of encouraging well-seasoned marketers to share their stories and experiences with the younger generation as the audience. Each Dialogue is called an Episode to put emphasis on storytelling and sequence. There are no speakers or panelists at the Dialogues but storytellers who have journeyed through the ever-evolving marketing and communications landscape.
