DJ Stokie has released a documentary series iPiano e’Soweto – “iPiano e’Soweto: The Documentary” that highlights his journey. The docu-series is in partnership with Universal Music Group, South Africa and directed by Katlego Phore.
iPiano e’Soweto documents DJ Stokie life. The series is narrated by DJ Mageza and they take us along the journey where Amapiano began. The popular music genre was derived in the East of Johannesburg, however, DJ Stokie has come to be a pioneer of Amapiano in Soweto.
He released his album in My Journey in 2020. He wanted to not only tell his story but also to pay ode to the township that made him who he is as the “Superman” of Soweto.
