Pretoria, South Africa – On Saturday, 7 March 2026, Mahindra South Africa will once again transform the iconic SunBet Arena into a high-impact celebration of South African creativity as Mahindra Fusion Fest 2026 returns, larger, louder and more ambitious than ever.
Following a groundbreaking debut, Fusion Fest has evolved from a once-off event into a dynamic cultural platform where music, art and fashion collide in a powerful expression of identity and innovation.

A Brand-Led Cultural Movement
More than just a festival, Fusion Fest has positioned itself as a creative movement; a space where emerging talent meets established industry leaders, and where unexpected collaborations shape the future of South African culture.
This year, production levels have been elevated to full arena-show scale. The SunBet Arena will be reimagined into an immersive theatrical environment featuring:
Elevated LED screens
Kinetic drapes
A transforming stage design that evolves with each performance
Over 14 cameras capturing every moment across massive visual displays
Pyrotechnics, precision lighting and thunderous sound design
The result? A fully immersive, multi-sensory experience designed to ensure every seat feels like front row.
Creative Collaboration at Its Core
Fusion Fest 2026 represents seamless integration across creative disciplines. Lighting designers, sound engineers, choreographers, fashion designers and visual artists have worked in unified collaboration to deliver one cohesive vision.
No element stands alone. Every performance, visual and garment is intertwined, reinforcing Mahindra’s commitment to innovation, storytelling and bold brand engagement.
Four Genre-Defying Fusion Performances
This year’s programme will feature four specially curated fusion performances, each reflecting South Africa’s past, present and future. These performances will be paired with immersive fashion designers and cutting-edge graphic artists, transforming the arena into a living canvas of culture and expression.
Spotlight on Emerging Talent: Creative Competitions
As part of its commitment to creative development, Mahindra Fusion Fest once again hosted national competitions across music, fashion and art, attracting exceptional talent from across the country.
Music Competition
Industry leaders including Zee Nxumalo, Karen Zoid and the Wawee Music Team faced the difficult task of narrowing down a fiercely competitive field. Three finalists have now been shortlisted, with public anticipation building as their names go live on social media.
With votes separated by razor-thin margins, the final winner will be selected by Zee Nxumalo on 25 February — setting up a defining career moment at the SunBet Arena stage.
Fashion Competition
In fashion, respected judges Thula Sindi, Jacques Bam, Mzu Mbane and Thando Ntuli selected five standout finalists:
Sinekamva Xali
Andile Cele
Tukisho Machina
Zeshaan Samodien
Refilwe Motsekedi
Under Thula Sindi’s mentorship, the finalists are refining their collections ahead of their live showcase at Fusion Fest 2026. The winner will receive a R30,000 cash prize; a pivotal career-launch opportunity presented before a national audience.
Art Competition
The art category saw an overwhelming response, with approximately 120 submissions reviewed by judges including Shaun Oakley, Chad Hanning and Ndumiso Nyoni.
Cape Town-based artist Anda Mncayi emerged as the unanimous winner, recognised for originality and impact. His work will form part of the immersive visual landscape at Fusion Fest 2026, embodying the spirit of collaboration that defines this year’s event.
