Suzuki Scores Big: Official Global Partner of AFCON 2025 and Women’s AFCON 2026

Suzuki Motor Corporation has been announced as an Official Global Partner of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026. The partnership was formalised on 11 November 2025 in Hamamatsu, Japan, with CAF General Secretary Véron Mosengo-Omba and Suzuki’s Yusuke Kato signing the agreement.

Four Major Tournaments, One Goal

Under the new deal, Suzuki will serve as an Official Global Partner across four key CAF tournaments:

  • TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025

  • TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026

  • TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2026/27

  • TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2026/27

The partnership aims to enhance fan engagement, celebrate African football excellence, and strengthen CAF’s global commercial platform.

Bringing People Together Through Sport

“Sport has the power to bring people together and nurture hope for the future,” says Yusuke Kato, Suzuki’s Managing Officer and Executive General Manager for Automobile Marketing, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. “Through this partnership, we wish to strengthen the links between Suzuki, football, and Africa, while further establishing our presence on the continent.”

Suzuki Auto South Africa echoes this sentiment, highlighting how the collaboration aligns with its commitment to sport as a unifying force and a platform for community development. The brand has been actively involved in African sport, from partnerships with Orlando Pirates Football Club and Cricket South Africa to supporting grassroots rugby programmes in Gauteng’s West Rand.

Local Impact, Continental Ambition

Henno Havenga, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Auto South Africa, commented:

“This partnership with CAF is a natural extension of our local initiatives. Sport unites communities and creates opportunities, and we are proud to be part of that journey. We look forward to kicking off in Morocco on 21 December and wish all teams the best of luck.”

With Suzuki now powering football across Africa, fans can expect more than just mobility, they can expect a celebration of passion, teamwork, and African sporting excellence.
