Dove has officially launched the Dove Creator Collective, a first-of-its-kind creator academy designed to celebrate authenticity, confidence, and self-expression among South African content creators.
The brand is calling on the public to help identify and nominate the most inspiring, bold, and authentic voices across social media. Through this initiative, Dove aims to spotlight creators who are shaping culture through real stories and genuine connection.
“The Dove Creator Collective is about celebrating creators who show up as their unapologetic, authentic selves, sharing real stories that resonate beyond the feed,” says Pavla Sessions, Marketing Manager for Dove South Africa.
“We’re inviting South Africans to help us discover and uplift the next wave of creators who embody confidence, joy, and real beauty in motion.”
Built around real life and real expression
At its core, the Dove Creator Collective focuses on everyday lived experiences — the moments, passions, and personal journeys that shape confidence and identity. The initiative highlights creators who express themselves freely while embracing the brand’s message of “Skin That Doves.”
It is also a community-driven campaign, encouraging South Africans to nominate creators who inspire them through storytelling, creativity, and authenticity.
A new generation of “Dovelies”
Selected creators, affectionately known as “Dovelies,” will be developed through mentorship programmes, masterclasses, and exclusive industry access.
The programme will equip participants with skills in skincare knowledge, content creation, and digital storytelling, while also offering immersive experiences, events, and product activations.
The aim is to support creators not just as influencers, but as cultural voices and storytellers.
Dove Creator Council

Nominations will be reviewed by the Dove Creator Council, which includes influential South African voices such as Mpoomy Ledwaba, Lwandile Makhaza, Coachella Randy, Lebo Lion and Thickleeyonce.
From the nominations, 60 creators across Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban will be selected to join the inaugural cohort.
