Keagile Makgoba, Head of Communications at TikTok South Africa, has been named the African Rising Star in Media by the TransUnion Rising Star Awards. The annual awards programme, sponsored by News24, recognises young professionals across various industries who show strong leadership, innovation and impact.
Keagile Makgoba is a seasoned communications expert with more than a decade of experience in corporate communications, investor relations, and digital marketing. As the Head of Communications for TikTok in Africa for the past 3.5 years, she has played a key role in driving the platform’s growth across the continent, supporting the creator economy, and enhancing user engagement on one of the world’s leading entertainment platforms.
