The YOBAs is proud to announce the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) as the official media partner for its 2025 edition. This impactful collaboration brings together two influential platforms united by a shared mission: to spotlight youth excellence, celebrate entrepreneurship, and amplify authentic South African stories.

National Reach to Elevate Youth Voices

With a powerful national footprint—19 radio stations broadcasting in all 11 official languages and five television channels—SABC is uniquely positioned to champion the voices of young innovators. This partnership will extend the reach of the YOBAs, ensuring that the stories of ambition, innovation, and impact resonate across both urban hubs and rural communities.

A New Era of Visibility for Youth-Owned Brands

For over three years, the YOBAs have honoured exceptional youth-owned brands from across the African continent. Now, with SABC on board, the awards will enjoy , allowing stories of determination and enterprise to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. “Partnering with the SABC is a significant milestone for us,” said Pat Mahlangu, Founder and CEO of the YOBAs. “Their credibility and national reach mean the successes of youth-owned brands will be seen and celebrated countrywide—motivating even more young people to pursue their business dreams.”
