Kaya 959 Appoints Tumi Rabanye as Head of Marketing

Kaya 959 has announced the appointment of Tumi Rabanye as Head of Marketing, signaling a deliberate and strategic push to strengthen the station’s brand identity, accelerate its digital transformation, and unlock new avenues for commercial growth

A Seasoned Brand Strategist

With more than two decades of experience across brand strategy, integrated communications, and marketing leadership, Rabanye brings a distinctive blend of strategic depth and creative intelligence. She has built and shaped brands with purpose, led cross-functional teams, and delivered campaigns that resonate culturally and commercially, all underpinned by a deep-rooted love for broadcast.

“I cut my teeth in broadcast as a strategist and brand manager, and I have always had a deep passion for music and radio,” she says. “Kaya has felt like home to me for many years. I have grown with the brand, long before I was even the target market. Now I look forward to growing it further with clarity, pride, and purpose.”

Her appointment is as much about stewardship as it is about amplifying and sustaining what audiences already love about Kaya while sharpening how the brand shows up in a fast-changing media environment.
