Ackermans Launches Baby Talk AI and Baby of the Year Contest

Ackermans, South Africa’s top kids and baby retailer, has launched a new AI called ‘Ackermans Intelligence’ and the Baby of the Year 2024 contest. This AI is part of a fun social experiment that explores the curious minds of little South Africans. Ackermans teamed up with media personality Sne Dladla to bring this idea to life.

Sne Dladla meets South Africa’s most adorable babies

In a special project, Sne Dladla sat with some of the country’s cutest babies. The babies showcased their confidence, creativity, and playfulness during these interviews. Sne put away the usual children’s content and had conversations with the little stars. The goal was to understand what fascinates them about the world. These babies left a lasting impression, and their thoughts gave everyone a new perspective.

Bronwyn Pretorius, Chief of Marketing at Ackermans, said, “This idea brought the Ackermans Baby of the Year competition to life. Back by popular demand, this competition allows parents to celebrate their bundles of joy in true Ackermans style. This year, the stakes are high as Ackermans searches for those charming personalities who love to have fun, express themselves, and of course have a lot to say.”

Bronwyn added, “In light of the current global conversations around the use of AI and creativity and what it means for us as humans, we set out to purposefully tackle this topic through this new content piece. As a leading retailer in baby and kids apparel, our product offering is designed with play in mind and we want to encourage parents to engage and cherish these unique and special moments with their little ones.”

How to enter your little one to the Competition

Do you want to be part of this exciting competition? Here’s how you can enter:

  1. Dress your baby in a cute Ackermans outfit.
  2. Take a picture or video of your baby showing off their personality in the outfit.
  3. Upload the picture or video using the hashtag #MyAckermansBaby2024 on Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram.
  4. Tag and follow Ackermans on all their social platforms.
Celebrating special moments

Ackermans celebrates the joyful moments parents and caregivers share with their little ones each day through the Baby of the Year competition. These moments embody the spirit of Ackermans Intelligence in everyday life.
